Keloid Repair
We addressed two keloids on her right ear, one of which was particularly large. Keloid repair involves careful removal with local reconstruction. For this patient, I injected Kenalog-40 during surgery and again at the one-week postop visit to reduce inflammation and minimize the risk of recurrence of the keloid. While we only have photos immediately after suture removal, it’s important to note that her incisions will continue to heal, and pigmentation will improve over time.

Lipoma Excision
Lipoma is a benign fatty tumor , which typically occurs just beneath the skin. We used the endoscopic pretrichial approach to remove the lipoma. This approach involves using an endoscope, a thin tube with a camera, to access and excise the lipoma through small incisions, minimizing scarring and promoting faster recovery. This technique is particularly beneficial for lipomas located in areas where traditional open surgery might leave more visible scars.
